An Android "PDA" type device for the my wife...

She's a technophobe! She wont upgrade the old Nokia phone and insists that her "organizer" (how 90's is that!!!) should be a different device to the phone!

I'm looking for something I'm sure I did see somewhere, but not sure where. I sure hope it wasn't in a dream!

What I think would suit her is an Android phone sized device but without a phone. I guess it would be the same as an Apple iPod, but with Android OS. I'm not even sure what to call such a thing, so my attempts to Google have been unsuccessful. She would really like something which comes with a stylus that can be stored with the device (like the way the stylus is stored on a Galaxy Note).

    A tall order?

    Thanks

Samsung did launch an android equivalent to the iPod touch some years back but I believe it was discontinued.
Convergence has meant people want it all, phone and PDA, on one device.
Apple are seeing their iPod users migrating to the iPad mini.
Your best bet might be a small android tablet like nexus 7 or the 6 inch Amazon tablet (if you can tolerate Amazon's flavour of android!).

Another option would be a cheap mobile phone and just use it without the phone function/sim card.

I don't think there is such a device, especially with a stylus. The only cheap device I can think of is a original Note or the Note II, both second hand and don't put a sim card in. But once she starts using the device and get's used to it she will probably start think about putting a sim card into it and moving into 2014-->2015.

...t she will probably start think about putting a sim card into it and moving from 1994-->2015.

    FYP :)

Maybe a small tablet? Would a 7 inch tablet be too big?

Yes, I think I'd easily get a cheap phone she could use, but the stylus is not going to be included. Either she figures out a way to carry that separately, or she cuts her nails!

Was looking at some second hand Notes, but it's too much to pay considering she won't be using it as a phone.

    Thanks guys.
