Is there any point waiting for January sales for PC components?

Do many of the on-line retailers have sales at all?

Not really no , New components come out the whole time , older ones drop in price . Set a budget and buy.

Well, as papu said, set a budget and buy. However, I'd suggest making your build and waiting until Black Friday this year because you can sometimes get mad sales, it's not too far away either.

Hi sorry I'm also looking to build, noticed your black Friday comment. Just wondering what are good sites to look to on black Friday? Thanks

Amazon would be a good one , Maybe Komplett and hardwareversand will run some sales too so as to not lose out.
Keep an eye out , I'm sure people will be posting deals in the Bargain alerts thread

I've done a look of pricing on my proposed build and the best prices I've come up with disregarding potential sales is Hardwareversand. That includes postage. Komplett are close on some things but in terms of price and choice HV is nest. I also checked Scan.co.uk, Overclockers.co.uk, Dabs.ie, AriaPC and Amazon.co.uk.

There's aren't January sales in PC components. They do go up in December though because of Christmas demands. Prices now will be much the same as in January unless something is released or prices are slashed because of competition.

By competition, I mean manufacturer competition because the retailers have little room to offer big cuts.
