Family photo - colour scheme?

Hi all, my family are getting a group photo taken at Christmas, it will be three generations, 26 people ranging from 6 months to 76! It will be in a studio, so against a white screen, would we be better asking people to dress to a colour palette, let's say neutrals or black and white or just let people wear what they want?…
