Insulation in concrete floor construction

We are getting a concrete floor at ground level in our refurb.

Am I right in assuming that insulation should only be laid when floor underneath is level? I can nearly do a see saw on some of the boards.

Also some of roof is not done so this rain is pouring all over the insulation in places - from what I've read insulation should not get wet.

Would welcome thoughts before I meet builder on Monday.

Roof should be fixed first. Insulation & radon barrier should be installed under floor.

May I ask, Have you anyone advising you & preparing an outline scope of works/specification? Are you getting 3 building quotes ? If so how will you compare without spec/scope of work?

Yes as we figured. We have an architect and engineer involved ..... :-(

Slightly off topic but is it a problem if cavity insulation is also exposed to rain after it has been fitted?

Getting work done and waiting for windows - in the mean time the cavity insulation is exposed to the elements.

    Cover it?

The builder has left it exposed for over a month so I'm wondering if this is now a problem?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, ideally dry is better, but when u pour your concrete floor over the insulation sheets it's going to damping
