    Hi y'all,

I'm looking to start a Motown-ey, Stax Records-ey, James Brown type of outfit. And hopefully throw some Gil Scott-Heron in there as well.

Now there have been other ads for this before. But I'm not looking for brilliant musicians in order to get a record deal or join a great band etc. No sirree.

I'm looking for decent musicians, not amazing ones. I can't slap and I'm not not even that fast, so that'll give you an idea. But you will need to know when something's out of tune, not in the beat, or not good enough. This type of thing. Keep it simple but tight and funkay.

The plan is to practice once a week, and eventually play the odd gig once we know what we are doing.

About me: 39 y.o guy, based in West Dublin. Bass, amp, car, job, baby. Likes walks on the beach and whatnot.

Looking for drummer, guitar, singer, basically anything that goes in a soul-funk band (except the bass. You can't play the bass).

    Right so, that's me.

So we may have a guitar and drummer on board, to be confirmed.

Any keyboard/sax/singer out there who want to give this a go?
[EDIT: Not picky about the instruments. If your mama made you funky, 's all good.]

I was thinking of starting with these - we might be able to fake them half-decently if we can't find horn players:

Any wannabe funk-soul brothers out there?

    Any drummers/singers/keyboard going spare :-)) ?

Some sort of electric pianee/ fender rhodes would be swell. I'm not even going to ask for horns because that'd just be crazy talk.
