My sons E60 has the iDrive in it and subs under the seats but as far as I can see it has no tweeters.
Would it be a simple plug and play upgrade or would he need to get tweeters with crossovers?

IDrive is standard on every E60, does he have standard, business or professional?

Also, does he have the standard hifi? I know Mick in Germanicks does full E60 upgrades. He has a few videos on his YT channel.

I dont know much about the E60's. I know it has the widescreen headunit so was not sure if it had an amp or built in to headunit.

How would I know which one he has?

    Thanks

    Any pics?

By the sounds of it, widescreen is pro nav. It's an updated computer and I think it lends itself to upgrading easier, especially if he wants to retrofit Logic 7 which is an OEM option.

He will be home for the week tomorrow so can sort a few pics for you.
It has nav as well, runs from a dvd.

Ok, so deffo business or pro. The both run from a DVD inserted into the dash. Widescreen would mean it's pro but can confirm on seeing a pic of the dash.

    Upon checking again.
    No tweeters in doors.
No tweeters with rear shelf speakers.

Can't see an amp fitted, Where would this be situated?

    Pics of headunit as promised.

Ok, so deffo pro system. There's a few options. He can upgrade the full kit, get tweeters etc and get the OEM covers for the doors. He can do everything and it can be hidden away just like OEM.

I'm not into audio upgrades or anything but I know Mick in Germaicks (bmstuff on here) does a lot of this.

Id say for now just tweeters would do him.
I just need to know are they plug and play or do they need crossovers.
