Recommend PAYG <€140 ?

    Bought an Xperia J for my son a year ago ... found out soon enough it was a bad choice, even though I got a 30Gb mem card with it.

    Anyway a student friend of his dropped it on him three months ago and broke the screen. Then a week later the screen stopped working.

    I have been told it's not worth repairing.

    He has no interest in gaming or intensive use. A bit of music, facebook, Whatsapp etc.

    What is the best choice of Android phone <€140 PAYG if there is one ?

    Spend €10 more and get a Moto G, excellent phone for the money (I have one) and is extremely well reviewed here and online.

    get it from Tesco Direct the 4g version (which also has expandable storage) is just a little over 150. there are very few phones comparable for the money.

    I'd advise paying an extra 40 euro and getting the new moto g 5" screen. Can be got in Argos.
