    At first glance it looks like 'O'Smith's Jesuit' which I seriously doubt.

    Could the second word be tenant?

    I believe the second word is 'Permit', with an unusual 'P'.

    2nd edit: Just a tip, but with passenger lists like this (and ANY online scanned set of images), it's a good idea to look at the pages before and after, as some of the same words will be written more clearly and you can compare the writing style of other words. That's how I get Permit and then the other word looked like Smith (as mod9maple has worked out), with a quick google search giving the answer.
