    I just don't get this, are there really parts of the country where the only communication available is longwave radio? There's so many other, better options out there of which at least one other must be viable.

    Is longwave really that important and what does it provide that the other services can't?

    Heard about them delaying it's closure and thought how many haven't cottoned onto MW or the internet.Maybe a handful of elderly folk in Britain still use it,but what does it cost?

    The only people I know without tellys are hippity hipstery hipster hippy types that think they are sticking it to the man by not watching Home And Away. The elderly folk all have more channels than me.
