I am currently and affiliate member of the Accounting Technicians Ireland.

At the moment I am pursuing the ACCA qualification which in time I hope to become an affiliate member of.

My question is do I let my subscription for IATI expire as I won't be pursuing a technician role in the future

Depends, are you likely to be looking for another job before you get ACCA qualified?

Also, when a person gets their degree they get BA etc after their name, which they can keep forever. What do you have to show once you've qualified with, say, the ATI after you've finished paying membership fees?

So, while strictly not correct I'd not shoot anyone that kept ATI etc after their name on a CV if they had since stopped paying subs.

Note, I've pointed out that this is not correct, just a personal opinion.
