    M50 or another road?

Well usually when someone mentions some motorway without saying which one is it, it's M50.
Same as someone mentioning some place by street name without specifying which city or town, then surely it's in Dublin.

Such specific way of thinking by people from there, that they are the centre of the world and everyone else knows exactly what they are on about. :D

Could be the M7 too given the OP's location

EDIT: Yep it's the M7 (from AA on Twitter):
KILDARE/M7: Motorists will be diverted at J14 via Monasterevin. Traffic very slow on approach. Avoid the area. (2/2)

I would have thought the same until I moved out of Dublin and found loads of other motorways... some even go all the way to the other side of the country :-D
