    I have downloaded this python package in Ubuntu, I can import from it if the .py file I am using is in the same directory, but I would like to add this package so all I have to do it type 'import gps' in any .py file regardless of its location. I pasted the file into here /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages but it still isn't found

    When I import it from a file that's not in the gps directory I get the following error
    Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
      File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/gps/__init__.py", line 10, in <module>
        from misc import *
    ImportError: No module named 'misc'

    I am very new to Python so I would appreciate any help
