We are replacing our sitting room carpet with a prefinished junckers wooden floor. Currently the spikes are doing a good job securing to the carpet but we don't much fancy making holes in new floor.

So advice on the options appreciated. I had a look at the bottom and when I take out the spikes the bottom of speaker will be flat and flush i.e. no pads or anything. Thanks.

Leave the spikes in and put a 1 cent coin under each one. Job done. If you let the speakers sit flat on the floor the whole room will resonate and you'll have bass everywhere!

Or just change the spikes to appropriate plastic ones, plastic does not resonate as much as metal :)

Sounds like a good option, do you know where to source off the top of your head?(not being a lazy basted, just sometimes people know the best/easiest place)
    Thanks.
