i have an old router working to acess broadband,
Can i connect a router, router no 2,with wifi on it in order to provide wifi broadband acess,
    like thhttp://www.wikihow.com/Connect-One-Router-to-Another-to-Expand-a-Network.
The old huawei router is ethernet only ,no wireless ,
i don,t have the username for the wifi router, router 2,
    only the password.
i can reset it,or acess the setup, web interface,
    from 192.168.1.1

I can log in to both routers,to the main settings page,
i have the username ,password for the huawei router.

The username for router 2 is 8 letters ,
shows as 8 asterisks, in the settings menu.
i can change the password in router 2,
    by using the reset button.

Not sure why you need the username if you can access the web interface of router2. Try viewing the HTML source from a browser and look for an <input> item with type="password". This is like a textbox, but obscures contents with *'s

even IF I Know the username ,password i dont think that,ll help me ,unless i can change the username to admin or blank space .
or the username ,password ,sent out to me in 2010 by the isp.

I got this router in 2010 from smart telecom,
in order to use broadband i have to a certain username ,password,
    i think its admin ,
    admin,
    = username ,password,=admin,or admin=password, username =blank,ie leave box blank,I got Zletter in 2010,
    your password is xxxx,
    your username is xxxxx,
in The box with the NEW wifi modem.
i have no idea where the letter is ,or what my username is,
WHEN i connect to the web thru smart i get ,connecting,
    the authentition error, cannot connect,
eg the isp expects a certain, password , username with that router to allow broadband acess.

at the moment i can use an old smart router ,non wifi model.
    just ethernet.
i can use rest button ,on the router to change the password,
when i do this it sets an 8 letter username ,=8 asterisks.

I Could probably jsut ask them for a replacement router.
i,ll try that view html code trick later .
    i got 2 cables ethernet ,15 foot in dealz, 1euro .50cent
so i,m using those to connect my pc and ,laptop to the router.
so I have full web acess ,but no wifi acess,
router 1 has no wifi aerials ,just 4 ethernet ports.
The isp wont make a broadband connection to the router unless the
username and password is set up right in the router settings.
    i presume.
when i go on wifi ,click browser, goto say, boards.ie, any website,a box appears, it says input username ,password,
admin, leave username blank does not work.

i can connect to router by wifi,or ethernet,
eg i dont think smartelecom will just accept a random username ,or password ,from that
    router.
