    Dear Wise Sages of boards,
My wife and I will be travelling in March and the Ryanair flights are very cheap at the moment and we would like to book. However, we are expecting our first child in January and do not know the process for adding a child to an airline booking after the fact.
Anyone else done this or know the process?

    Thanks in advance!

There is an option for including an infant on the Ryanair homepage.

Just book for the two of you and an infant now.

Then in March when you have to check in online you'll need to provide the baby's passport information.

There's no onus on you to prove the child exists at the booking stage, only the check in stage.

the procedure is to call the infant - "Baby sallymomo" (as in "baby" + your surname) when making the booking for the infant now and then change it over the phone to the correct name when the baby is born and has a name.
Should be free to change the name of an infant, especially with the new more cuddly and caring Ryanair.

your biggest issue will then be in january to get the passport in time, or in reality getting the papers and photo to allow you to then apply.
