so i have an 06 avensis and the radio just decided to not turn on today.

first port of call would be a blown fuse but i cant find the damn thing!!!

heres the two interior box diagrams but i'm not sure which one relates to the radio i figured it might be ST, RAD 1 or RAD2 but they are all fine. Its too wet to go digging in the engine bay boxes but i doubt the radio fuse is there...any ideas???

Actually, could be behind the glovebox too....

One under the bonnet is beside the battery.

I think "Dome" fuse covers the radio on these.

The bad news is that the radios can give trouble on these.
Is there any life on it at all?
Does the display light even though there is no writing on it?

I have come across them where they go AWOL for a day or two and come back working normally!

i'll take a look at the Dome fuse and report back.

There is nothing on the display, no lights or anything. just didnt come on yesterday morning and hasnt worked since!!!

checked the Dome fuse and the Panel fuse (recommended from another forum) both fuses were fine but the radio now works!!!

fuses certainly werent loose, was a battle to remove them so dunno what it could have been!!!

    thanks for the help anyways!!!

Dome fuse does central locking and stuff. Should be Rad1 or Rad2 I'd say.

I thought dome was for the interior lights. @op, Maybe removing and replacing the radio fuse rebooted it?

Its a fuse that cuts stuff that would drain the battery/cause issues like clock/central locking/interior lights/keys-in buzzer etc and is usually only installed in the PDI.

could well have done, by that logic either the Panel or Dome fuse is the radio fuse then so...

that makes sense since after removing those fuses my clock had reset...all radio stations were still tuned in oddly...

The permanent live feed to the radio to maintain stations would be on a separate fuse.
