Cant acess wifi on smart router

i,m using a router on smart telecom, the router was reset.
IF i try to use the wifi to acess the web,
a box appears put in username password.
router is thompson 5885 ,about 4 years old.
i can log on to the router thru,wifi,

192.168.1.1,
into home,router,setup,menu.
I rang customer support ,
they dont know the password.
i tried admin, username,
password blank,
admin password, blank,username,

admin username,etc

DO i just reset the router to fasctory settings.
or is there a default smarterlecom password.

i understand smartelecom, was taken over by digiweb.
i have the network,name, and wifi pin code,

i,m using an old basic router now that has no wifi out,
just ethernet .
security is on router set to wpak 2 .
Any advice would be welcome.
i have the router pdf manual.
