any real Cosmic junkies on here? I have a pair of Kysrium SLRs which I love mainly for the exlaith breaking but wouldn't mind a similar deep section without having to change break pads. So in 52 depth there is the SLE and the SLR but the SLR seems to be discontinued? The difference between the 2 that I can see is that the SLR has bladed carbon spokes and the SLE has bladed alu spokes. But I like the look of the SLR (stealth decals) better! Is the 40c taken over from the SLR? but then thats a carbon breaking surface and I reckon the 40c is a comprimise between light and aero? I have a light set, I now want an aero one! The CXR 60 is just too dear and I dont know if I trust carbon breaking surfaces. any thoughts?

    Cheers,
    D

I have the cosmic SLE and swear by them. Nobody out brakes me on bends etc. The big advantage they have over the SLR is that any good man/woman with wheels can repair/replace a spoke which is not the case with the SLR which a buddy of mine had to send to Europe to have spokes replaced. The cosmic ultimates have the exalith braking surface iirc and are a snip at around €2500. Personally if the SLE are too heavy (lots say so) then spend an extra hour per week on the bike and loose the cheapest kg ie. the one we all carry around lol.
