Claiming tax Back from the UK !! HELP !!

    Hi, I am initially from the UK, Lived & worked there until 2003, I worked Full Time for the same company for 10 years where I was a call centre Manager, my question is, I moved to Ireland in July 2003 and I am wondering if there is any way that I can claim my tax back for those 10 years. I am now permanently residing in Ireland and Married, so I have no intentions of returning. Just wondering if there is any way around the 4 year limit, all I want is my tax back from the years of 1993 to 2003, just not sure how to go about it or if it is even possible to claim something over 4 years old?

    No, of course not.

    You pay tax in the country that you are resident in at the time.

    So even if there was a way past the time limits, and there almost certainly isn't, you paid the tax that you were due to pay, and there wouldn't be any reason to get it back.

    Thanks for your reply, I were just looking to see if it was possible to claim back any over payment of Tax like we can do in Ireland, I weren't looking at getting the whole amount of tax back. Sorry if you misread my original post. Thanks for you answer.
