I PM'd the reps but got no reply, so wondering if some kind folk here would know... I am a recent convert to VDSL having signed up when the cab went live recently. I was getting about 14down previously on ADSL. I am on the 50down/20up profile and getting 48/19.5 or thereabouts. I am wondering from my modem stats if this is the optimal profile for me? The attainable data rates would imply I could do a lot better? But maybe that's not what that means...

    Thanks!

I'd be interested in that response too Moose. Can you share when you get a response?

Not heard back from the reps or the tech guys, but they've changed my profile at some point today to 92down and 20up and on speedtest I'm currently getting 85.8down and 19.4up. I am very impressed. Although have to question why I wasn't setup with this in the first place? Do they default to 50 and see if anyone notices their line can do more?

Glad to hear you’re impressed. My colleague Tracey spoke with our Tech support guys last week & arranged this for you. I'm afraid I would not be aware of our support teams defaulting speeds at 50 but apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Incorrect prequal value in the database, you're provisioned on what the database says is the max the line can take, but those readings are only buest guesses.
