Im Trying to change the DNS settings on my UPC supplied thompson wireless router but there is no settings in the control panel.

I tried to telnet onto it but port 23 is blocked.
I then downloaded the config file for the router and opened it in notepad to change it but its not a text file, so comes up as gibberish.

Any ideas how i change the dns on this router?

Have you tried manually settng up the DNS for the machine? AFAIK, your default DNS that is propagated by DHCP is given by your ISP, but you can manually override it on your PC.
