Random Facebook issue

Something really strange seems to be up with my Facebook account when using it on Chrome. Since yesterday whenever I log in all the tabs at the top of the page (Friend Requests, Inbox, Notifications and Privacy Settings) are open and it won't let me close them. When I click on them nothing happens. It means that as they expand downwards when selected I can see very little of my timeline or home page as they take up most of the screen. This doesn't happen when I'm on IE but it's a nuisance to have to go changing just to go on Facebook. I would include a screenshot to give a better idea of what I'm talking about but I don't know how to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try clearing the cache / browsing data and try again.

    https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95582?hl=en
    Delete all your data

Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
    Select Tools.
    Select Clear browsing data.
In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
    Click Clear browsing data.

I just tried that there. For some reason now when I try to login into Facebook the screen is just blank and nothing is happening. Other websites are loading fine but Facebook seems unresponsive. I deleted my cache, cookies and browsing history.

General problem with Facebook - not sure if only Chrome related, but lot of people saying on Twitter they are getting blank pages.

Ya all of sudden I can't get access to it on IE when I could 10 minutes ago. Hopefully clearing my browser will sort the original issue.

Thanks solomafioso for the advice. :)
