dirty dishes problem bosch

    hi all
ive a bosch dishwasher sms40c02gb classixx, 2 years old, which was working fine until about 6 months ago when it started leaving small bits of residue on the dishes. In the last couple of weeks the dishes are coming out filthy like as if they've been washed in dirty water.
Ive turned the dishwasher on its back to try and access the waste hose/pump but there doesn't seem to be any screws to take the bottom panel off? all I can see is a hole that some sort of plastic key goes in that loosens an internal catch or something.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I don't fancy paying a 70 euro charge to a repair man for a job I could probably do myself!
    thanks
ps I haven't changed detergent at all so that wont explain the loss in performance.
Ive also put the dishwaser on the hottest wash twice with no detergent (without dishes in) but it didn't work.

Have you pulled out the bottom tray and opened up the kind of middle compartment and cleaned that out

yeah the filter? pulled that out and washed it under bthe tap. put my hand in the compartment for the filter and felt around to see if there was any blockage. didn't find anything

Are the spray nozzles on the rotating arms clear? if a bit of food gets into the nozzle and blocks it they don't clean well.

Yeah checked that they're all clear. I think my last option is to take the base of the machine off to get at the waste hose but I can't find anyway of doing it in the manual or on the internet?!

run the machine with the 2 spray arms removed for a minute or so this should purge any restriction unless the pump impellar is clogged up totally. Unless you are a very good diy er I would advise you not to remove the base

My other half puts in a little bit of Fairy liquid every now and again. It does help to clear those sandy residues.

but you wouldn't believe how little it takes, to foam up the kitchen.!

Ok so I've removed the arms and tried that to no avail.
Tried running the machine with dirty dishes and top quality detergent- that still didn't work.
I'm a good diy'er so I wanna take the base off to get at the pump and the valve on the waste line. Do you know how to get the base off this particular model? It looks like you need a special toggle key to release the catches internally or something like that

you will be able to access the pump by removing the r/h side panel, the impellar is either broken off the shaft or totally clogged up with the wrapping off the detergent, this happens because the user fails to keep the filters firmly screwed down, I come across this on a regular basis

I have a Bosch and had the same issue as yourself. But I got the Finish Dishwasher cleaner and the glasses/dishes are coming out perfectly again.

I had the same problem myself, the rotating arm nozzles looked clear, but it wasn't until I took it off and gave it a tap a few times, then seeds, line scale etc.. Came out. It's working fine now. I checked the cartridge on the side and the hoses, none of them were blocked so the rotating arm was the problem for me.

I forgot to say mine is not Bosch, it's AEG, but I had a similar problem.
