I was out earlier for a rabbit and maybe fox and all I seen was pheasant.
First field a hen rose up ten yards from me, then next field two cocks got up 30 yards from me, then more hens in the corner and last field 3 cocks ran into ditch.
So they are about. I dunno whether to go out on first despite not having a dog. Just won't feel right and it's be pure luck that one will rise within shooting distance

Cheers mate. Lads I know are more deer and fox hunters or don't have a dog.
I'd nearly pay to go out with someone at this stage.

What cartridges are everyone going to use this season?
Have a selection of Eley, Fiocchi and RC Sipe to use this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,868 ✭✭✭djflawless

    Sipes ftw :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 106 ✭✭Buggs

The sipes are a nice cartridge alright, suppose to be different sizing compared to an English cartridge. So a Sipe #7 is a English #6.5 if you get me.
