It's gone totally queer. Even making a post is difficult.

What do I do to get it fixed. I live in Limerick city, can someone please send me in the right direction to have it restored where I won't get fleeced?

Your best bet is the read the sticky in the Virus & Malware removal sub-form in the computers & technology section on this site. Once you've done that make a thread there and the guys will hopefully be able to help you out.

If you can't remove it yourself with the help of the forum, let me know and I may be able to help - I only live about half an hour from Limerick city.

I'm giving it a good shot here with the forum help yeppy. Thanks for your offer of help. Hopefully I won't have to put you to the bother. I'm stupid when it comes to computers. I'll give it a go.

I'm out by UL, and online all day in work. Let me know if you need a hand.

Mark I know this is quick but I don't know enough about computers to get through this problem.

I can meet you at any designated spot of your choice at U.L. at 4pm today if that suits. Otherwise name a time to suit yourself. I'll be able to give you a few quid Mark but that would be it. Times are hard. Anyway if you can help me I'd very much appreciate it. Please reply as soon as you read this as I will be waiting a reply.

    Yours in good spirit

Hello Mark I tried to pm you the above message but your pm box was full. Hopefully you'll read this today or tomorrow.
Sorry yeppy if you think I overlooked you but I want to put people to as little bother as possible. I can actually make my own way to U.L. so as to make it that bit easier on Mark.

I'm not actually in UL, and I don't need money to get rid of a few viruses. It's mostly running free apps / windows updates. What I would do is..

    Download Malwarebytes
    Download CCleaner
    Download Avast Free Antivirus

Then I would go my start up, and stop every extra program from starting that you don't need. Which is all of them. You can do this by running msconfig.

Once you stop everything from starting, I'd restart the computer, disconnect from the internet, and install malware bytes. Run the scanner (will take a while). Run the CCleaner program, again, will take a while. Finally install the antivirus scanner.

If you want me to have a look at it, I can. You can try messaging me again now. I've cleared my inbox.
