got a collar bleeper from the USA bleeps every 10 sec when the dog is running when he sets it bleeps every second range 1000 yards top class for keeping track of your dog in heavy cover.

What's the make of it sounds the bizz! I know a lad that has the garmen but never saw it in action just saw it in the box when he bought it .The collars are a serious heavy duty job.think it will mark on the screen where the dog stops etc etc .Class job

ebay, makes 3 sounds normal bleep, quail call and hawk scream that last one makes the bird sit tighter but you have to let the dog get use to it for a week or more when their been fed and running around the garden don't put it straight on to the dog as I did they did not like it and 2 of them when they heard the bleep they tought it was the recall whistle and kept coming back.every thing sorted now top class,it was about 75 euro to buy.

You can get cheaper dog tracking collars off the likes of ebay, that use a sim card to track the dog.

Based on experience, any suggestions for non GPS type dog trackers as there is no coverage at all where I "exercise" my dogs?

I'm living in New Zealand and the pig hunters use the Garmin trackers a lot here. They are illegal though because they use up private bandwidth you would have to check if its the same in Irl. If you go onto one of the hunting and fishing forums for NZ they have loads of reviews and the guys are good for advice.
