Any New Occupational Therapy Panels???

Hi all just wondering as my girlfriend has gotten a phone call today about a national panel for OT. Does anyone know if any national panels have closed or opened within the last 6 months?

Who phoned her about it? As in someone from the HSE? Or someone else?

From what I've heard, they're nearly towards the end of the current panel. Someone I know of got offered a job off the panel about six months ago, and she would have been near the bottom. That panel would have formed about 2/3 years ago now.

I've also heard, but just through the grapevine, that the next panel will open early next year.

It was a friend of a friend bull**** from another person. I just wanted to confirm that because she got so upset about it. I appreciate your response, it has put her mind at ease.

Ah yeah, you hear a lot of things. If she's signed up to the HSE talent pool for OTs, she'll be informed if/when they start applications for another panel. Things are starting to change a little, and the HSE advertised for a senior post in Palliative Care a few weeks ago. I'm taking that as a sign that they will start hiring generally again soon.

That's good to hear, I'm glad she doesn't have to do what I'm doing. I am an engineer and going to the UK after being away in Australia working for the last 3 years.

Hi guys

I'm an OT working abroad keeping an eye on the situation at home.... Any word on upcoming OT national panels. Basic or senior grade?
I'm on the talent pool emails and have received notification of a lot of individual job vacancies. Does anyone know if this means they exhausted the BG last panel?
The emails I've received seem to indicate that there will be a panel in the autumn. I contacted Manorhamilton a couple of weeks ago, no reply from them yet.
Anyone have any info?? Cheers!

I'm on the current panel, just received an email today to say that one is expiring and they're recruiting for a new panel, starting tomorrow I believe. Keep an eye out!
