Hello. I have seen an early 90's van I like. Is it possible to tax it privately or will I come across any problems?

Yes you can, no problem at all. Just say so when you go to the tax office

Taxing any van privately is possible and rates are set by the old cc system even if the van is 2008 or newer

    You 100% on this?

Also how does insurance work, Possible to have a commercial policy/private tax?

Tax side is simple. There is a form in tax office all i remember is its yellow.

Insurance is trickier. Very few will be interested in giving private policy. They will still want to give u commervial policy.

Also tolls are still going to ask you commercial rate

Taxing a van privately will never be an issue, taxing it commercially requires a declaration and may present more difficulties.

Insurance is a whole other story. I did have a fiesta van taxed and insured privately many moons ago, insurance was with Quinn at the time.
