I will be 16 by next summer in 2015 and i want to spend the time working and making some cash. Does anyone know any places that you've seen teenagers work in or any like summer courses as well for teenagers to work in. I know most people will say to just drop CVs in to shops and cafes and that's fine but i was just wondering has anyone any experience working at this age or have seen teens my age working and if so WHERE??? :)

Noone can help unless you give your location. You have a few months to do something like volunteering, which will show commitment to something, give you experience working and also give you a reference for future employers, which is usually something people lack before getting their first job.

Lol, No one can help you is what they meant I am assuming.

You should just throw your cv around the place even if there isn't very much on it.

    When I was 16 I was working in a 2 euro shop.

Be aware though OP at 16 your are not entitled to full minimum wage. You are only entitled to €6.06 per hour which in my opinion is a farce as when I was doing that job at 16 I was doing just as much work as the person entitled to full minimum wage.

I starting working in Argos when I was sixteen, but they don't take people on for just 'summer jobs' AFAIK,but if you are willing to work weekends during the year they might be worth a shot, if you live near one :)!

Also, when I was there I earned €9 an hour at 16, :)

    Volunteering is a great start!
Have you got local businesses near you- like a newsagents, butchers, chipper, cinema, coffee shop? It can be very useful to start putting the word out locally. Even get your family or friends/ friend's parents on the case. You may be more likely to get a job somewhere where the manager knows you/ knows your face so think about the places you go and ask there.
