Completely conflicting advice on pvc windows!!!

    Unless he meant he couldnt unless he removed the plasterboard?

    If you remove the plaster on the revels then you can tape them up and replaster.
    On a side note there have been quite a few issues with 3g tilt and turn windows due to the weight of them. Rep for a well known company told me to stay away from this kind of opening so went for casement instead.

    i too have single glazed so new frames ,need to get escape window fitted into bedroom for exit on to flat roof and looking for advice also.

    You can use a side opening window as a fire escape but it has to open straight out like a patio door and be wide enough to get out and has to be at the correct height of the floor.

    floor height wont or cannot matter as there is a rad slightly underneath but window has to be nice and wide for regular traffic in and out of window.cheers.
