Sprouting mung beans

I've been sprouting mung beans for several years without any problems however recently they have been rotting in the sprouter or when sprouted in the fridge.

I'm not doing anything differently - initial soaking overnight then rinsing twice daily and ensuring good hygiene between batches - and have tried beans from two different sources.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing this?

Also, lentils are easy to sprout - are there any other seeds / beans that are as straightforward? I've tried buckwheat & black beans but they've rotted also.

    Thanks in advance.

Moved from Food & Drink where we advise you how to cook & eat them. Your query is better suited to here as the locals can better advise you on growing them.
