Cambodia from Japan

I'm considering heading to Cambodia sometime over the Christmas break (Dec. 21st to Jan. 4th) Already did a search on these boards and turned up some good info. At this point I'm primarily interested in how to get there for as cheap as possible, for as long a stay as possible. Is visiting skyscanner.com my best chance at cheap flights or is there a better avenue?
Is two weeks a bit long for Cambodia? Should I give it a week and then maybe try Thailand? Flying in to Thailand and back out from Cambodia might end up being a bit cheaper.

I'm headed there for Ankhor Watt and the killing fields, and after that a good time in a lively town with good food and people. Should I fly into Phonm Pen or Siem Reap for this?

Use Skyscanner for ideas for airlines/routes and then research these particular ones.

Look into Air Asia X from Japan to Kuala Lumpur and onwards from KL to Siam Reap, it may not appear on too many booking sites e.g. Skyscanner.

    Osaka? Tokyo? Or somewhere else?
