Upgrading phone, back up texts?

I'm about to head in and upgrade my wife's phone for her.

She has a couple of text messages on the phone which are of sentimental value to her, (recently deceased sibling) and she wants to keep them.

These are both on stock texts, and whatsapp etc.

Anyway of saving these and transferring to new device?

She currently has an sgs3. More than likely upgrade to sgs4/5 or maybe a HTC....

    Thanks.

I've used helium in the past and it's fairly painless. It backs up pretty much everything you ask it too. I'm not sure how it would work with WhatsApp and viber as I seem to remember losing viber messages previously, but that may have been me doing something stupid!

No idea about viber but whatsapp lets you back everything up to dropbox afaik, I know gosms pro * free app btw, can save every single text to dropbox and reinstall them as well on the new phone, doesnt matter what phone you get once you log into your gosms account. its also a handy little texting app. hope this helps

See if you can back them up to google with SMS Backup +
