Hi tall, I am in a rented house. There is a small cloakroom, and it has a hole in the wall going out to an airvent. This is currently stuffed with newspaper (by owner). The room .and hall area is very cold and I would like to try and cover this up, not a living space as such so don't see an issue with air flow. ANy idea - pic attached

I would recommend using a grille over the vent. Would always be wary about covering vents, and similarly about the stuffing!

Also, check with your landlord, it's his/hers to fix really.

What height is the hole at?

18" off the ground. It's in a cloakroom so not concerned about blocking it. Don't want to contact landlord about this as it's minor enough, happy to do a temp job on it myself.
