Folks, we have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder that my wife drives 180K miles. Last spring it started to lose coolant, then it over heated one day and garage replaced head and gasket. It still overheats when you drive it hard or tow a trailer. Brought to a another garage where they proceded to replace the rad, but it is still overheating. Any suggestions? I am seriously out of pocket and no further on. I have a navara with 150k km with no issues so far touch wood.

when was the water pump done in it?

Was the thermostat checked in it?

Check pipes for crimps restriciting flow of coolant

Water pump was never done but is not leaking and rotating fine, no sign of nay bearing issues. Thermostat was just replaced and all pipes check for crimps etc...
    Any other ideas?

Well, I was thinking, if the water pump has plastic impellers, and these get worn, your liquid flow rate won't be as good.
