Audi A4 B7 Central Locking

I have a 06 A4 saloon. The central locking is not responding to either key and I was wondering what the problem could be. I have replaced the batteries in both fobs, tried resetting them using the different ways I found online but to no avail.

I think at this stage it must be the actual central locking module within the car that is at fault. Does anybody know where I could go about looking for one of these second hand or what the actual name of the part I'm looking for is called.

I've had the car for 4 months but it's really becoming a pain in the a**e trying to unlock the doors with your hands full, when its raining, in the dark.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

I am nearly sure that there is a process for synchronising the key with the car . . .

I used to own an Audi and I seem to recall that you had a very short time window after the car was switched on to synch the key with the car

    Best of Luck!

I would suggest getting a diagnostic plug in done. Any faults in the comfort control module or the drivers's door module can be identified and the key can be programmed. It probably just needs resyncing, but if you have followed the procedures you researched online, then there is most likely an issue that could be easily identified using suitable diagnostic equipment.
