Can an Irish licence holder if caught exceeding the speed limit in England by a fixed speed camera, or Police speed enforcement van, have points added to their licence

Is there any agreement in the EU for issuing points between different countries?
    I don't think so.

I think perhaps it's for fines only... But I have heard of a French driver who was gatso-ed in Germany getting a fine for his troubles. I shall accept that it may not be for points..

Or wait until somebody here endlessly trawls the rsa/statute/EU commission in order to prove beyond any doubt that I am wrong... Which will happen

There's Cross-Border Enforcement Directive which enables most member states to access data of vehicles registered in other member state which commited offences.
This doesn't cover UK, Ireland or Denmark though.

Thanks for the answers guys, I was driving over there last week, never exceeded the limits, but I was amazed at the large number of fixed speed cameras I seen
