    Hi There,

I am looking to buy a new kettle but I would really like a super-dooper one.
Has anyone any recommendations please ?

I know that the higher the watts the faster the kettle should be.I got this advise buying my hoover/vacuum cleaner and i got a really great one that would tear the feathers off a low flying bird ; )

    thanks

The tefal quick cup is instant. Not ideal if you need a pot of water but if you need a single cup fast its ideal

Bosch do a super duper job, TWK86103 model no, it is stainless steel with variable temperature between 70c to 100c cool touch, and 3kw, we have an older version for over 20 years, you will find it on their web page

Loads of them are 3kw rapid boil, go for one of those

3 kw would be pushing the limits of the 13A plug and the circuit that feeds the socket so you won't be able to go higher than that for a plug-in kitchen appliance. Just make sure that you don't use any double adapters!

I had a look the other day and almost all of the kettles were 3000 watt. I didn't see anything above that. Do they exist beyond 3000 watt?
    Has anyone seen one?

No, simply because 3kW at a nominal 230V corresponds to 13A which is the maximum current you can draw without blowing the fuse in the plug.

Slightly off topic - have a Moulinex kettle Type EJ3, 2.2kW, for years that I love, but stopped working the other day. Checked the 13A fuse and that's not it. Any suggestions besides having a kettle funeral?

Thought you might like to know the results of a bit of research I did on this product.
    The reviews are really bad.
    Thanks for the help though.
