    HI,

I have a pink shirt that is 100% Polyester, I want to dye this white ( or cream, or any color that isnt pink really).

How should i go about this to achieve the desired result??

I have tryed mixing 4 liters of water with about 3/4 cup of bleach and letting the shirt sit for a hour or so but it does not seem to have had any effect. Do i just need to give it more time or more bleach??

    Any advice appreciated :pac:.

It won't work, polyester is basically coloured plastic so bleach can't remove the colour without disintegrating the garment. If it doesn't disintegrate, it'll either stay exactly the same or become brittle. You can get specific dyes for polyester fabric if you want to make it a darker colour, but you can't lighten it.

I've seen regular Dylon in pharmacies and fabric shops etc but the one for polyester is more of a specialist thing, online is probably your best bet. iDye is good, used it years ago. Here's a place that does it just to give you an idea of price and colours, no idea re delivery or if this place is cheap! http://www.thedyeshop.co.uk/acatalog/Polyester_Dyes.html
Edit: free shipping in EU, score!
