Hi i'm due to get surgery next week in the scheduled care ward in the mater (just wires for a broken bone)

I'm scared at how accelerated it was that it may be private, but surely it should be public? They'd have to mention fees to me or something??

If anyone could help that'd be great

Could easily be public. You need to ring the ward and ask, anything else is guessing.

Broken bones can't wait indefinitely on a waiting list, they would be considered urgent, it'll be public.
