Hardwearing Commuting Helmet

    Hi folks

I recently blew way too much cash on a POC Octal (yeah I know some people hate them!, but it's the lightest, most comfortable helmet I've ever worn!). I want to keep that for my roadie activities, so I'm not looking at getting a new helmet for city wear. Me old Specialized lid is knackered, not so much from cycling, but from all the wear and tear it gets when its not on my head - e.g. swinging off my backback when shopping etc.

I'm tempted to get one of the "bowling ball" helmets that are currently pretty trendy, but my question is this - has anyone ever managed to buy a tough cycling helmet that's durable and hardwearing, but doesn't make you look like a tank commander or American Football player?

    Cheers

    D

Rudy project sterling. Super outer shell that doesn't dent or scratch.
