Odd issue with DHCP and a new D1000 modem.

It has the default 192.168.1.254 address and the DHCP pool is 192.168.1.1 with 200 IPs in pool.

There is a switch on the network with a 192.168.1.2 IP

When you connect to Wifi the first device gets a 192.168.1.1 IP and all is good.

Subsequent devices connect but cannot get an IP and revert to 169 link local IP

So what would seem like the fix is to change the pool so it starts after 192.168.1.2.  If I do this then nothing works, i.e all connecting devices get 169 IPs.

I tried all sorts of ranges, eg 192.168.1.3 with 10 IPs in the pool or 192.168.1.100 with 50 IPs, etc....

Is there a known DHCP bug in these modems?

    Hi BailMeOut

I've been advised that there is no known bug but the best advice I can offer in establishing a solution is to contact technical support directly via webchat: http://bit.ly/1ePJWdV or by calling them on 1890260260

    Thanks
    Al
