    Hi guys,

Ive been reading and practicing technical analysis for a while now.

Im looking for software that will let me view historical data without showing me up to date information. Sounds simple but im stumped.

The idea is to test my knowledge and then let time play forward without having to wait for the market.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Most historic services such even free Yahoo finance numbers allow you to input the range of dates you need, so you can cut off the data before the current date.

Yeh the only search engine I could really find for historic data was Yahoo Finance. I used datastream in college too but thought it was a very annoying platform.
