Withdrawal period after dipping?.

Got a few late lambs dipped with a contract dipper a fortnight ago,not sure what dip he used as he was only passing.How long would it be roughly till a lamb would be safe to factory after dipping?

If it was a non op dip, its 14 days. Any of the other dips are around 35 days. Probably be best to ring him to find out

Thanks....whats non op dip?....he just said it was the 'safe dip' he was using.They were fierce dirty looking,wasn main reason I dipped them...and a few would be fit to go.

Non op is non organophosphate, so when he said 'safe dip' he probably means Non op

cyperguard is an example of a non op dip and its withdrawl is 14 days,

might be better to give him a ring if possible though,

Do check. If the carcase smells of dip, the least worst thing that could happen to you is for it to be thrown out.
