Hi guys i finished with my wife almost 8 years ago and i got a judusuial separation in the courts 4 years ago this cleared up everything at the the time . I.e the family home .pensions and so on there was not kids thank god anyhow back then she bought me out of the family home and i got a legal bill of €25.000 for my troubles .
know i want to finalise everything and get the divorce out of the way so .seem ny cash flow is very low i went into the family law courts and asked for the package they give out for people like myself who would like to get it done at the lowest cost i can .
I sent the ex wife a letter explaining that seems she was due to have a baby with the guy she ran off with 8 years now that i have also started a new life would she be will to consent to this and her reply was yes but she wasnt going to pay a penny towards it .
anyhow im at the stage where i sent in all my documents in to the family court in phonix house and done my civil bil and addavitt of means when i sent a copy to my ex wife she never repleied within the 10 day the a week or so later i received a letter from her solicitor that dhe would be representing her and could i sign a letter to consent the same and this letter i signed was addressed to the family law courts smithfield .but after waiting 2 weeks more ive found out thay they had not sent in any paper work to the courts .
im wondering now whats my next move is it a 15 day notice and if so what do i write in it and do i sent to her or at her family home or to the solicitors and as soon as i do this do i send an avidatitt of service to the courts woth copys or the letters and the registered mail slips
any help here would be great my head is all over the place trying to sory it out
please please someone be kind enough to help me
    Thanks Dubdvd

P.S. sorry about the spelling im working nights and can barely stay awake on my break thanks

    Sorry to hear about this.

You need legal advice on how to progress your case. We can't give that to you on this forum.

You could ask in the family court office, except I don't think that they assist the general public in this way anymore, as they would be swamped with work if they did.

You could ask a solicitor for some general legal advice. That shouldn't cost too much.

You could apply for legal aid, if you are eligible.

You could attend a FLAC (Free legal advice) clinic to see if they could point you in the right direction, details of clinics here:

You could ring her solicitor to find out. That's what your solicitor would do if you had one to find out if there was a delay, when they were expecting to file affidavits etc
