Storage Heater emmiting more heat at night

We just switched our storage heaters on for the winter 2 weeks ago.

Our night time electricity kicks in at 3 minutes past 12 every night, and kicks off at 3 minutes past 9 every morning.

One thing Im noticing is that the house is very warm at night as in 2am/4am, and the heat felt coming out of the top of the storage heaters is unreal. Toasty :pac: , but wasted, as we do be asleep!!

Conversely, the house is quite cool during the day.

We have input set at 2 to 3, and output set to 1 (no boost).

They are dimplex manual control heaters.

Has anyone any idea why so much heat is being churned out at night when its supposed to be storing the heat in the blocks?

    Thanks in advance,

You should increase the output level in the evening time so as the stored heat can be emitted & turn it down again last thing at night when going to bed.

As the weather gets colder you can play around with the input settings by increasing the input level which will result in more heat being stored overnight.
