Hi all, I purchased a car a few months back and all of the details have been changed to my address etc. However my Tax is due this time next month. I want to sort everything online as its much more convenient. My question is will they send me a renewal form through the post automatically? And will it contain a PIN for me…

Hi all,

I purchased a car a few months back and all of the details have been changed to my address etc. However my Tax is due this time next month.

I want to sort everything online as its much more convenient. My question is will they send me a renewal form through the post automatically? And will it contain a PIN for me to register online?

Usually you will get a reminder - but not always.

There is a facility on the motor tax website to generate/retrieve a PIN which will be immediately sent to the email address you supply.

go to motortax online and you can use the PIN retrieval system to get your PIN and tax it online.

You might have to wait until the beginning of next month before the system will allow you to renew the tax.
