Time pedals opinions?

Hey, so I've been using mtb spd for years and very briefly tried spd sl a while back but found them a bit off putting.

I was reading that keo easy were, well, easy, but have since heard that time xpresso are very nice re clipping in and out (albeit cheese like cleats).

Budget is no more than 60€ or so. Any thoughts on time xpresso 4?

I would probably commute on the spds still and use the road pedals for longer weekend spins.

Open to other suggestions, though speed play sound way too 'icy' in the float for me.

    Thanks

I have iclic2 pedals which use same cleat.
Great pedals, but very soft cleats. Besides the expense, there is the hassle of changing them.

I am tempted to use spd (mtb) pedals on the road bike, using stiff carbon shoes instead of road cleats.

I suppose there's always cleat covers. Did you find a difference bw them and spd-sl?

I use deore pedals with old sidi shoes. Find them decent for commute and easy clipin / out.
