looking to replace our boiler - its ancient at this stage and we were given a fairly new boiler which came out of another house. can we apply for the SEI grant to replace the boiler with this one or does it have to be a new boiler?

    Two chances I would say.
Check the SEAI website. You must get a BER cert first then an approved supplier etc.

If the new boiler is a condensing boiler and you can arrange for it to be installed by an approved installer and all other criteria are met I see no reason why you wouldn't get the grant
