Hi folks, looking for some desperate help!

I upgrade to Yosemite on my mid 2007 core2duo iMac. After upgraded the system advised me I needed to upgrade my version of iPhone (which I did) and it subsequently prompted me to say I need to download and run the iPhoto Library upgrade, which I also did.

But now when I run iPhoto, it opens and prompts me to click the upgrade button for the library. On doing so, iPhoto just seems to quit out.

Any ideas what I can do to fix it?

I should add that when I try re-run the iPhone library upgrader it tells me that the library has already been upgraded.
